*** IPA LEVEL 1 TRAINING THROUGH IMPACT OR OTHER ORGANISATION IS A PRE REQUISITE FOR THIS TRAINING ***

In the training so far, we have been guiding trainees on a journey towards becoming highly effective psychotherapists. We started our journey by punctuating our approach as interactional, which means that we base our observations, formulations, and interventions on tangible, observable, and describable communication in the relational field. In IPA Level I, we focused remaining interactional in our observations in that we referred only to observable behaviour, and not to intrapsychic projections and hypotheses. In Level I, we also focused on remaining interactional in our formulations, in formulating accurate IPA’s. In IPA Level II, we will be looking at the application of the IPA for interventions. We will be looking at how the interactional psychotherapist positions themselves for effective therapeutic change and how the IPA can be used to design systematic strategic treatment plans

Now that you know how to forumulate your IPA, IPA Level II focuses on the application of the IPA for effective interactional therapy. In this course, we will be learning about Interactional Psychotherapy, understanding the sub clusters of the IPA, formulating the IPA link, and developing treatment plans based on the IPA. We will be using your cases as well as recorded role palys to keep this training engaging and experiential.
